Oracle Development DBA - Borehamwood and/or Amersham - £45k - £49k depending on skills and experience - Permanent Our client, a leading IT Consultancy with offices in UK and Europe (Netherlands and Switzerland) is looking to recruit a permanent Oracle Development DBA. Our client is undertaking a variety of software development projects for its clients, which are well known names from Retail, Automotive, Publishing and Logistics domains. The role is mainly based in Borehamwood and/or Amersham, requiring visits to the clients in London or Luton, when needed it. The Oracle Development DBA will be part of a team delivering Oracle database tuning, optimization and development capacity to a range of corporate clients. To be considered, the following skills and experience are required for this Oracle Development DBA role: - Relevant tertiary qualification in ICT, in particularly software engineering and/or data analytics (data science). - 5+ years commercial experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c RDBMS - is vital - 5+ years commercial experience with UNIX - Korn shell, Linux server build and configuration, Server performance/tuning (wrt Oracle) - is vital - Strong knowledge and experience in SQL scripting and performance tuning, RMAN, PL/SQL scripting and performance tuning, RAC/ASM, DataGuard, OEM grid, Oracle SPM - is vital - Experience with Oracle Exadata (is important), Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle Mid-tier (Fusion Middlewar infrastructure), Java and SVN - would be beneficial - Experience with database analysis, support, maintenance, installation, monitoring, backup and recovery, troubleshooting. - Oracle Application Express (APEX) support and development - Team player with ability to present examples - Proven communication capabilities, written and verbal, with technical and non-technical audiences - Flexibility and an open-minded approach to work with a 'can do' attitude For professionals with less experience than the advertised role requires, but who have worked with Oracle Exadata for a minimum of 2 years, do consider submitting your CV and we can discuss other roles.
