Roles And Responsibilities Main Accountabilities Development and support of in-house applications, working with Project Managers in determining user requirements based on current and future needs. Participates In Requirements gathering Customer interaction System design Technology evaluation Development Testing Deployment Maintenance Performs database administration when required Participates in the identification of new technologies, completion of studies/analysis/business cases, and development of solutions Utilizes assigned resources efficiently and effectively Organizes and executes business and functional assignments using IT principles and methodology Applies advanced techniques to solve conventional problems on specific assignments Acts as an information source for other personnel whilst continuing to learn and develop technical skills Perform an active role in meetings/discussions relating to ongoing developments Must be prepared to undertake occasional weekend work (overtime payable) Person Specification Qualifications Essential Technical degree or equivalent Experience Essential Proven experience in C# Proven experience in Oracle 11g and above Key Skills/Competencies Microsoft Dynamics CRM development platform Experience in the use of Enterprise Service Bus tools Good knowledge of J2EE (preferably J2EE 6) Good development experience in PL/SQL, T-SQL and all the server side development aspects (triggers, packages, procedures etc) Experienced in Oracle 11g and SQL Server 2008 R2 Experience in the administration and use of Apache Tomcat Data analysis skills, troubleshooting data related problems and providing sound quick fixes Support skills and managing the call stack Significant experience in the development of web deployed applications Desirable Some DBA skills will be preferred but not essential. Knowledge of: Tibco ESB IBM Websphere administration and use SQL Server Administration IIS Administration Windows Server Jasper Reporting An ability to apply established processes and methodologies to comply with in-house development standards. Good time management and estimation skills. An ability to understand how existing and emerging technologies may or may not be relevant to systems already in place. Some experience in a customer-facing role and have discussions with other staff, contractors and non-technical users.
