Client: Our Client has been supporting airlines around the world since 1991 and has worked exclusively in PBH contracts, allowing customers to maximise fleet reliability whilst minimising the investment in component inventory and in the infrastructure for component management. They are now looking to add a Trade Compliance Executive to the team based at Stansted Airport. This is a new role within this company. Job Specifications: Trade Compliance Department: Finance Purpose: Responsible for ensuring that the company complies with customs and export control regulations. Reporting: Head of Finance Duties: - The day to day execution and implementation of the company's trade compliance strategy, and ensuring it operates in the manner it was envisaged. - Ensuring that import and export entries/declarations are accurate and compliant by carrying out near real time audits and reviews of entries and MSS data and to proactively resolve of cases of non-compliance internally or externally. - Ensuring that quarterly bills of discharges are submitted accurately and on time. - Maintaining and updating customs information on the company's aircraft parts database. - Continually developing and improving current processes and strategy and proactively responding to changes in rules and regulations. - Providing insight to senior management team on other trade issues (such as dealing with letter of credit transactions, issues relating to supply chain and logistics etc.) - Being the point of contact to customs and trade regulatory bodies. - Dealing effectively and collaboratively with bureau providers and external consultants and advisors. - Assisting with documenting the current processes and to update those as necessary. - Assisting with developing a dashboard and monthly reporting of import/exports statistics and cases of non-compliance. - Managing renewals of the company's end use and inward processing authorisations. - Taking the lead in applying for the AEO certification. - Assisting the senior management team in developing an effective export control compliance framework. - Provide annual awareness training to wider company. Key skills: - Preferably educated to degree level or equivalent, although we will consider candidates with extensive experience in industry and practice. - Must be familiar with customs regulations, authorisations (end use, IPR), origin rules, trade agreements, valuation, classifications and Incoterms, checking of customs declarations in detail. - Must be able to work on own initiative with limited supervision. - Must be an advanced user of excel and comfortable dealing with large volumes of data. - Must be able to multi-task and must possess an analytical mindset. - Must be an effective change management agent, open-minded, result-oriented, proactive and good communication and influencing skills. - Must be motivated by continuous improvement and learning. - Effective verbal and written communication in English - Experience of working in the aerospace industry and awareness of US export control regulations (particularly EAR controls) will be viewed favourably.
