Maintenance Engineer - Kings Cross - 8am to 5pm - Immediate Start - Must Have DBS/CRB Certificate

I am currently looking for electrical, mechanical and fabric engineers with current or recent DBS/CRB security clearances. My client has several vacancies across a state of the art hospital based near Kings Cross, London.

You will be working within a team of engineers covering planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of building services equipment.

The successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically biased with C&G/NVQ or equivalent and a proven track record in building maintenance.

If you are interested in the fabric/handy person position then just a strong background in building maintenance will suffice

Your daily duties will include….

  • Lighting - lamp changes, ballast changes,
  • Emergency light testing
  • Power distribution
  • Electrical fault-finding
  • Small works - new sockets, new lights, new circuits
  • PAT Testing
  • Control Panel maintenance
  • Transformers
  • Star Delta Starters
  • Pumps
  • Motors
  • Waters Treatments
  • BMS Systems
  • Plumbing
  • Boilers - Re-sets
  • Chillers - Re-sets & 1st Line Faults
  • Fabric Duties (carpentry, painting, general all round repairs)

Hours of work

Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm (40 hour week)

Shift Position may also be available if interested


  • Electrical or Mechanical apprentice trained (NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving license (Essential)
  • A Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Immediately available (ideal but not essential)
  • Multi-Skilled
  • Good Communication skills
