The IT & Data Security Manager will be brought in to Develop and establish the IT Security strategy, policy and planning, in line with overall IT strategy and external regulations. Monitor the environment to determine enterprise information security risk and resolve security incidents. Ensure compliance with IT Security policies throughout the organisation, in order to control and protect the IT environment and data. What's in it for you - A dress down and relaxed working culture - Funky and fun offices and environment - You will be the person to create the strategy and policies - Relocation packages are on offer - Working in Amsterdam - Company that has been trading for 20 years and has offices in 10 countries - Company has grown 40% year on year - Working on a greenfield project ACCOUNTABILITIES - Develop and implement the IT Security policy, in line with overall IT strategy and external guidelines - Translate IT Security policy to procedures, guidelines and support for the organisation - Monitor and analyse security systems, (incident management) processes, risks and incidents - Document relevant information and data - Advise internal (IT) stakeholders on the application of IT Security policies and procedures - Conduct IT Security risk assessments on operational processes, procedures and IT projects and communicate and report on results - Ensure IT Security standards are complied with and act on/escalate non-compliant behaviour - Motivate stakeholders to work according to standards - Keep up with internal and external developments within IT Security field - Ensure development, retention and spread of knowledge and information within the IT organization - Coordinate and supervise activities in the assigned IT Security team and develop and implement an operational plan, in line with IT guidelines and procedures KEY ACTIVITIES - Lead the security element on all projects that entail significant risk and have substantial security implications - Lead the resolution of security incidents and investigation of complex and sensitive security investigations - Bring new information on security developments into the organization, including information on new tools, procedures and systems - Serve as a leading IT Security expert and resource for the organization - Challenge stakeholders within and outside IT, mainly at Director level - Coach, review and coordinate work of more junior IT Security Officers - Solve moderately complex IT security incidents independently - Independently prepare and coordinate complex reporting to management - Developed experience in issue management resolutions - Define and implement solutions for operational risks for IT systems and information security independently - Has advanced knowledge of IT security - Technically coach more Junior IT Security Officers MANAGERIAL - Develop strategy, policy, plans and procedures to secure the organization's IT environment - Hierarchically lead a team of IT security officers/specialists - Manage the stakeholder landscape at all levels in the organization concerning IT Security and influence internal stakeholders - Manage relationships with external compliance regulatory authorities - Advise and challenge stakeholders on Board level concerning IT security, and is able to influence and persuade others We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy or maternity or age.
