Job Title: Stores Person
Salary: £18,000 per annum

Available is an opportunity to work for a well-established engineering company who due to increased orders are currently going through a growth period and seek an experienced Stores Person to join their highly skilled team.

The Stores Person that is appointed will be responsible for all stores tasks within a busy stores environment working with goods in, despatch and general stock control.

The Stores Person must have the following experience;

Goods receipt:
Unpacking, checking the quantity of goods against purchase orders and checking the compliance of delivered goods against purchase orders and against technical specifications, and providing a first point quality inspection. Booking in, labelling and placing received items into stock locations.

Goods despatch:
Picking of goods from Sales Order paperwork, checking the quality of the goods and for compliance with the sales order, packing to the correct standards which will minimise the possibility of transit damage, labelling and completing in house despatch paperwork.
Completion of carrier's delivery notes.

Stores Cleanliness:
The stores must remain clean and tidy, stock must be kept in a tidy manner and bin locations must be kept tidy and free of discarded packing materials. Stock must be rotated and placed in locations suitable for the size, weight and volume of the stock holding.

The Stores Person You must be physically fit and would ideally have experience using a fork lift truck, however that is not essential. You will also need to have basic computer skills for data entry purposes.
