SEN Teaching Assistant in Southport

Your new company

Your new SEN school in the Southport area are currently looking to recruit for a temporary (with possibility of long term) SEN Teaching Assistant position starting after mid term break. The school need an SEN Teaching Assistant to help increase the maximum learning potential of each child they work with. This will involve a 1 on 1 and group setting. In a supportive environment, the school aims to provide an excellent education to students with SEN requirements such as those with EBD, ASD, ADHD and other complex needs.

Your new role

Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant will require you to work alongside the school's teachers to support and deliver learning activities, facilitate effective learning and promote a happy school environment. The challenges you will face day to day mean you must be a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the desire to have a positive impact on building good relationships with staff and students.

What you'll need to succeed

It is important to the school that you have recent and relevant experience as a Teaching Assistant either in a voluntary or paid capacity specifically with SEN students. You must also have a passion for working with SEN students and be dedicated to making a positive impact on their learning and development. You should have a Level 2 or higher qualification or alternatively extensive SEN experience supporting children who have SEN requirements or exercise other complex and challenging behaviours.
