Health Economist (Senior role) - London/Buckinghamshire Health Economist, London, Buckinghamshire, Health Economics, Economic Modelling, Project Management, Business Development, Salary + Benefits, Office Based, Flexible Hours Paramount recruitment is currently working with a leading consultancy that partners with the life science industry in developing global value strategies. They are looking for a driven and experienced Health Economist to join there fast-paced and expanding team based in either their London or Buckinghamshire office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced health economist (either permanent working or freelance) to take on both a technical and managerial role with a vast expanding company also offering a highly competitive salary and excellent benefits package! Key Responsibilities *Managing day-to-day activities of HEOR projects from project kick-off to completion, ensuring timely delivery of quality products *Designing and developing economic models (cost-effectiveness analyses, cost minimization analyses, budget impact assessments, global models and model country adaptations, deterministic and probabilistic sensitivity analyses) *Covering targeted and systematic literature reviews *Review of clinical effectiveness, quality-of-life and economic evidence for HTA and reimbursement dossiers and provision of gap analysis *Designing and conducting evidence synthesis: direct meta-analyses and Bayesian mixed treatment comparisons *Designing and conducting statistical analyses on large observational datasets (Pharmetrics, SDI, CPRD, RealHealth Data, MarketScan): treatment pathways in clinical practice, patient characterization, resource utilization and healthcare costs in a real-world setting *Providing advanced technical support to the project team and clients, in statistical and economic modelling methods *Writing and reviewing documentation: statistical analysis plans, model protocols, technical/analysis reports, executive slide decks, user guides *Liaising with key opinion leaders and technical advisory boards *Drafting conference abstract and posters, and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and proposals, timelines and budgets for new projects *Line managing the HEOR team *Managing new business development in identifying opportunities, credentials presentations and responding to RFPs for HEOR projects *Managing relationships with new and existing clients Requirements *Experience in building, reviewing and appraising decision analytical models including decision tree, cohort-based Markov models and systems dynamic models *Application of probabilistic sensitivity analysis (second-order Monte Carlo simulations) and the direct application of numerical analytical techniques within economic models *Ability to draft pharmacoeconomic subsections of manufacturer submission dossiers to the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC), All-Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) and European Network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA) *Experience developing abstracts, manuscripts, and poster presentations *Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications If you are interested in this position, we would love to hear from you.
