11 Supported Reading Teaching Assistant
1:1 and small group intervention specialist required in a small Primary School on the outskirts of Plymouth
Your new school
A school close to Plymouth is in need of an experienced Teaching Assistant to support children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with their reading and writing.
Your new role
This job is on a full time, temporary basis with the potential to become permanent. Whilst assisting with the pupil's reading and writing, you will also be required to support the class teacher with other duties such as photo copying, behaviour management and marking.
What you'll need to succeed
It is essential to this role that the successful candidate has recent, relevant experience. This can be in a primary school or other educational setting so long as you have more than 3 months experience within the last 2 years. You will need to have a good behaviour management technique and have an approachable, friendly attitude to teaching. Having Phonics and Makaton experience would be advantageous to be considered for this role.
