Technical Architect - Asset Management - London - £85-95k + 20/30% bonus One of my asset management clients based in Central London are currently looking for a technical architect to drive the capability of the technology function as well as owning the infrastructure architecture and leading the development team. You will be leading a team of 5 people made up of C# developers, IT analysts and SMEs on asset management software such as Markit EDM. Any experience of enterprise software in asset management will be considered. Here are some more details on the role. Role Purpose - Driving capability of the Technology function in line with the business needs - Owning the Infrastructure architecture - Leadership of the Development team - Owning key infrastructure relationships with internal and external partners Role & Responsibilities - Responsible for continual evaluation of technical infrastructure, design and architecture in line with the business strategy. - Working with the Technology & Data Manager to define the ongoing Technology Roadmap to meet the business strategy. - Provide oversight, leadership and direction to Development team. - Responsible for issue management and appropriate escalation, including MI reporting. - Responsible for overseeing the daily Start of Day (SOD) and End of Day (EOD) Technology & Data processes, in line with the agreed procedures. - Responsible for ensuring the appropriate Disaster Recovery infrastructure and processes in place and tested. - Responsible for prioritising BAU development and chairing appropriate BAU team meeting(s). - Responsible for chairing Technical Reviews and feeding relevant enhancements into the priority queue. - Responsible for day-to-day management of the Technical Analyst and IT Developer. Knowledge, Skills and Experience - Extensive experience within the Financial Services, ideally with good end-to-end knowledge of the Asset Management business. - Experience of being responsible for technical architecture or the ability to do so based on current experience. - Must have strong exposure to .NET and C# development experience ideal. - Must have significant SQL development experience. - Ideally will have had exposure to and knowledge of a broad range of technologies such as Citrix, Windows, Active Directory, SQL servers & databases. - Must be able to prioritise and plan a technology/development roadmap based on business priorities. - Markit EDM/Cadis development experience is desirable but not essential. - Experience of being responsible for a team of developers, including setting and tracking deliverables. - Experience of working with the business and business analysts to translate requirements into functional specifications.
