You will be working one of the Wirral's most reputable secondary schools, that caters for children between the ages of 11 and 17. Consistently rated by Ofsted as 'Good,' the school is recognised for its ability to provide its students with the highest standard of education and care.
Your new role
You will work alongside the class teacher, supporting them in delivering innovative and engaging lessons to pupils. Shadowing the students throughout their day, you will be responsible for ensuring their safety. On some occasions you may be asked to assist single pupils on a one-to-one basis during lessons, enhancing their learning experience.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience working within a similar role, either voluntary or paid, as well as a University Degree or a recognised teaching assistant qualification. You will be passionate about supporting children in achieving their maximum potential, and will be able to demonstrate a dedication to ensuring that those within your care are safe and content. Additional training qualifications specific to SEN, such as Team Teach or MAPPA, would be beneficial however are not essential.
