Head of Product - Analytics London, United Kingdom | Permanent £110 - 140k + Benefits Position Summary My client, a market leading software provider, is looking for a Head of Product - Analytics. They partner with banks and other financial institutions to transform their offering and stay ahead of a changing marketplace. The Head of Product will report to the Product Director and will be responsible for the Data and Analytics product suite. The Head of Product will be responsible for identifying business opportunities that maximise the revenue and market penetration. The successful candidate will be accountable for the Go-to-Market strategy and will drive initiatives that establish business standards and competitively position the Data and Analytics products across the organisation and the marketplace. The Head of Product will also be working on product development, release schedules, implementation best practices and ensure customer inquiries and needs are met in good time. The Head of Product Analytics should be a thought leader and actively participate in industry forums to ensure high market visibility. He/she will hugely influence the product strategies and take control of revenue attainment and growth objectives. You will drive the major commercial partnerships and initiatives that increase new revenue and expand existing client business. Major Responsibilities The key responsibilities for the Head of Product Analytics include but are not limited to: - Oversee the Data and Analytics product management teams - Influence the Data and Analytics product strategy and roadmap that meet customer demands and accomplish my clients' business objectives - Provide the commercial leadership to grow and expand the reach of my clients' Data and Analytics products - Assess market opportunities - Be recognized as a Data and Analytics thought-leader - Demonstrate success in defining and launching excellent products - Execute go to market strategy - Lead the marketing activity - Influence key internal stakeholder management Candidate Specification: Key Selection Criteria Ideal experience the Head of Product - Analytics must hold: - Strong experience in product management role in a bank or data analytic company or fin-tech provider or Software Company with banking vertical - Outstanding knowledge of data, analytics, and business intelligence product requirements expertise (data analytics, profitability, risk management, commercial analytics etc.) whilst also developing product roadmaps - A visionary with a proven ability to set goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results - Experience BI projects on a global scale with a strong ability to fulfil project goals and ensure results are attained in an ambiguous work environment. - Excellent negotiating and consensus building abilities - Proven marketing and sales skills - Prior experience attracting, developing and retaining the best talent - Sound business acumen mixed with a global understanding of how to partner and work between internal functional areas effectively Critical Competencies for Success The Head of Product must hold strong business intelligence and analytics in the banking market knowledge with a great vision to see how long-term strategy can be adapted to develop the organisations products in Data and Analytics. The Head of Product needs to be confident in challenging and building the consensus on what the organisation should do to generate a great impact. Strategic Thinking: A clear ability to have a wide view on issues, plans and strategies. Should be able to produce a succinct strategy plan, at the highest levels, ensuring it consists of complex market issues, conceptualises them clearly and creates a concept for moving forward that will enable people to change direction with a clear and complete understanding.
