JavaScript Developer (Web | API | Learn React)


One of the most well backed Start ups in London, is hiring for a JavaScript Developer to join their close knit team of developers. They are developing new software that will connect remote devices to audio and visual entertainment systems. This is suited to an aspiring JavaScript Developer, who has experience of open source technologies and an interest in building clever UI to be used on physical devices for technical audiences.


They will be launching the product in Q1 of next year, and already have much of the Back end systems developed. They are currently using a modern, yet stable tech stack of Ruby on Rails, JSON APIs, Codeship for Continuous Integration, AWS Elastic Beanstalk for Continuous Deployment, JavaScript (ES6 and React/Redux).

They offer a collaborative environment with free reign on an exciting greenfield project and limitless resources behind them to help with your training and growth.

Role and Responsibilities:

-Own the user interface development for the company's core product
-Develop the customer facing UI's that will come to represent the company
-Work closely with the core back-end technologies and Architect (Ruby on Rails)
-Be focused on high performance, optimisation and scalability
-Have a real passion for attractive UI and an appreciation of UX / Customer experience
-Be able to understand client requirements and act upon them
-Help to continue the growth of a thriving technology company

Skills Required:

-Advanced JavaScript (ES6) skills (Object oriented/native/Functional)
-Solid HTML | CSS Development experience
-Very strong API skills
-Version Control ideally Git
-A strong academic track record with a BSc, MSc or PhD in a Computing, Scientific, Engineering or Mathematic discipline


-Excellent experience in one or more of modern JavaScript libraries and technologies; React | Angular | Node | Knockout | Backbone etc.
-Strong understanding of UX / Customer Journeys / Customer experience
-Experience with Continuous Deployment within Cloud based infrastructurea

Salary JavaScript Developer:

-£35,000 up to £50,000 with weekly training sessions, 25 day's holiday (with some flexibility), Pension scheme, Flexible hours
