Design Engineer - Bredbury, Stockport Permanent Position - 40 hours a week. My client are a leading specialist in the design and installation of swimming pools across various locations in the UK. They require a Design Engineer in their head offices in Stockport. This position is office based and will require travel across the UK to meet clients and attend meetings. The successful candidate will be responsible for 2-3 projects at any one time and will be working to meet strict client deadlines. The design engineer will be responsible for the full length of the project to completion. This company provide innovative products and professional technical services for leisure industry, including the design, manufacturing, installation and refurbishment of swimming pools and water features. Sectors covered include private health and fitness chains, hospitals, public clients and water authorities. The Role: The production of drawings, Revit models, calculations, documents, sketches and details for the following swimming pool technology systems: - Water treatment and filtration systems - Leisure water and air features, rides and attractions - Moveable floor and boom systems - Disables access systems In addition to this, the ideal candidate will be reponsible for: - Producing 2D Autocad drawings - schematics, pipework layouts, general arrangements, builders-work details, plant-room layouts and manufacturing details - Producing design documents - calculation sheets, schedules, tables, technical data - Producing 3D Revit Models - full detailed pool technology models either for 3D co-ordination and class detection purposes, or for full BIM level 2 compliance - Producing Inventor Models - Liaising with deign teams Candidate Requirements: - Engineering Degree and relevant experience, preferably working on installing commercial swimming pools although this is not essential. - A strong background in the design engineering environment and have a good understanding of BIM Level 2 compliance - Advances skills in Autocad, Revit (2016/2017) and, where possible, Autodesk Inventor - Good communication skills and a solid understanding of various computer softwares, including Microsft Office - Experience using Microsoft Project Software All Candidates will be responsible for lasing with clients and attending meetings, therefore a professional image is key to represent the company.
