My Client is looking for a Business Analyst within the Data Warehouse arena. You'll put your flair for research, analysis and problem-solving to work in our cutting-edge Real-Time Data Warehouse. A data enthusiast, you'll create and update data models, get to grips with requirements, draw intelligent business conclusions, and present key findings clearly and imaginatively. And thanks to you, the strategic and tactical decisions we make will be even sounder. Our Real-Time Data Warehouse team develops and manages our enterprise data warehouse. The system continuously collects data from key operational systems and carries out lots of data crunching, enabling us to accurately measure, report and inform business performance. Responsibilities - Translate business needs into well-defined user stories for development - Make your conclusions crystal clear for technical and non-technical audiences alike - Analyse and write up business processes and source-system databases, and define the data that needs to move across to the Real-Time Data Warehouse - Design dimensional models, define transformation mappings and solve any data quality issues - Handle day-to-day change requests and support the flow of new projects - Work hand-in-hand with fellow innovators from Development and Quality Assurance Experience: - An experienced Data Warehouse Analyst with a strong background in Data Modelling, Data Warehouse Architecture, Database Sizing, Query Performance Tuning and Data Mart Design - Someone who understands OLAP and Dimensional Data Modelling - Well-versed in SQL (ideally PL/SQL) and able to write DDL and DML statements - Equipped with the know-how to extract data from databases, and create and analyse detailed marketing and business metrics - Familiar with to Agile and Scrum development - Equipped with a degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Economics or similar If you understand Kimball dimensional modelling concepts, and have worked in Business Intelligence and Quantitative analysis, even better.
