2nd Line Technical Support Engineer (moving to 3rd Line) - Windows, Managed Services. Wilmslow, Cheshire Commutable via Stockport, Cheadle, Macclesfield, Handforth, Altrincham, Didsbury and Central Manchester. Close to Wilmslow rail. To £25,000 pa base + Benefits This innovative IT Managed Services Company is looking to expand their IT services team by recruiting an 2 further IT Technical Support Engineers. The Person: You will be established in 2nd line work with standard MS products and be looking to move towards doing more 3rd line and client facing site work. To be successful you should be passionate about driving results and continuous improvement and will be a natural people person -confident dealing with a large variety of IT queries whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service. The Skills: Strong commercial level support of following technologies: Windows Operating systems, 7,8 and 10 Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013, 2016 Excellent telephone manner and customer service / people skills essential Desirable: Office 365 Any knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches, DNS, DHCP, backup software, anti virus software would also be advantageous Any Apple Max OS X knowledge usefull Any relevant MS certification MCP, MCSA, MCITP or MCSE of interest (but not essential) Driving licence would be required for any on-site engineering work. In this role you will: Provide remote helpdesk / support for customers across the UK Deal with a variety of queries from user to server and network level support Build internal and external relationships with key stakeholders Liaise with customers to resolve queries at first contact Deal with queries from end to end providing timely resolutions Keep adherence to agreed SLAs for a variety of customers Monitor customer systems and networks for faults and failures Proactively provide advice on IT improvements Complete on-site engineering work and potential IT projects Maintain and update customer configuration and documentation You be working alongside an experienced team who will support and mentor you to succeed!
