My client is a successful manufacturer in the food sector and is looking to boost the local finance team with a Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant. Based in Hull, the role promises challenge and requires a qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant (finalists are welcome to apply) with first class Excel modelling skills.

THE ROLE

-Reporting into the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will provide support on reporting, budgeting and forecasts to the Head Office and provide business partnering and analysis to support operational initiatives/projects and financial support to strategic planning.
-Produce timely, accurate and complete information, monthly reporting, budgets and forecasts
-Provide monthly management performance reporting with commentary and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets including presentations
-Provide pricing support, margin analysis and competitor bench marking and 5 year plans
-Review of costs and costing system, review of inventory valuation, ageing and stock count evaluation, fixed asset control and spend on capital projects
-Ad hoc project work support in areas like major capital expenditure, acquisitions, new products, restructuring and systems


THE CANDIDATE

-The successful applicant will be either a newly qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant or at finalist level and have a high degree of Excel literacy particularly with financial modelling.
-Self confident and proactive, you enjoy being challenged and can demonstrate how broad based accounting experience, combined with excellent analytical and investigative skills can benefit a resilient finance team in a fast growing company
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills are important to be part of and fit in with a cohesive and committed team where respect for each other comes as daily standard practice
-You will most likely be already working in industry but candidates with the relevant experience and in particular with the Excel modelling skills required and currently working in professional practice are welcome to apply.

THE BENEFITS: £34,000 - £35,000 (maybe negotiable)
