Senior DevOps Engineer - LAMP / Systems Admin / Cloud - c£75k Senior DevOps Engineer - LAMP / Systems Admin / Cloud - London - Circa £75,000 London Salary - £60,000 to £75,000 & Benefits Our client is currently sourcing a Senior DevOps Engineer - LAMP / Systems Admin / Cloud, to be based in London. As the Senior DevOps Engineer you will have the opportunity to work at a technology company and be part of the team that owns the full infrastructure, from networking, firewalls, external network routing, multiple data centres through to operating systems, data replication and application services. The Development Operations position is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This role ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational requirements and standards. This role also involves research and development to deliver infrastructural improvements with respect to reliability, capacity planning and performance. The key challenges in this role are to: - Rapidly develop a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the infrastructure - Gain an understanding of the complex technical structure services, starting initially at the top level, but with increasing depth over time. - Understand how the services work from a process and configuration perspective to analyse how best to support the system and service requirements - Keeping on top of day to day operations to ensure delivers services to clients of the highest level of quality, striving for excellence Essential Experience - Good degree / Academic qualifications - Minimum 5 years system administration experience and associated tools - Excellent knowledge of the LAMP stack - Experience with performance tuning MySQL and replication technologies - Experience with Linux Debian packaging - Experience with scripting and automating day to day SysAdmin and DevOps tasks - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral - Self-motivated, pro-active and autonomous, highly organised, with good team-working skills - Ability to absorb and retain complex technical information rapidly - Strong problem solving and analysis skills - High level of professionalism and respect for clients' confidentiality To apply, please send your CV to Aaron Gunton on ****************** or call ************* for immediate consideration
