Head of IT to join the team. In this post you will be responsible for all aspects of software and hardware within the hotel involving Front office & Back office systems, POS systems, Telecommunications and in supporting all departments with IT requirements as appropriate. In this post you will be responsible for all aspects of software and hardware within the hotel involving Front office & Back office systems, POS systems, Telecommunications and in supporting all departments with IT requirements as appropriate. Description Head of IT who has worked for a hotel - Oversee the IT infrastructure within the hotel - Prepare and manage budgets for IT within the hotel - Ensuring all computer equipment, systems and networks operate efficiently - Coordinate and review all new software development specific to the hotel - Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues - Provide training and support to employees on Microsoft Office 2010 packages - Manage daily backups of servers and prepare and accurately document recovery procedures, together with ensuring these are frequently tested - Responsible for updating and documenting PC hardware configuration - Responsible for ensuring all IT policies including virus protection and effective backup procedures are properly followed - Install, upgrade and maintain MS Office, desktop and server operating systems products, antivirus software and other programs - Administration of core IT systems including Window Server 2008/2012, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Exchange & Group Policies - Maintain inventory records of all Hotel IT equipment - Set up and monitor all computer technology contracts - Provide effective helpdesk support to the Hotel's employees and guests - Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults - Identify and fix software and hardware faults quickly and efficiently - Liaise with external providers to ensure complex faults are repaired to the required standard - Manage the hotel's PCI-DSS compliance Profile - Previous IT experience in hospitality is a must - IT related qualifications - Excellent organisation and project management skills - Experience of PC hardware and PC set-up procedures - Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008 & above, Windows Networking, - Good communicator and problem solver with a flexible, 'can do' attitude - Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines - Knowledge of Opera is preferable but not essential Job Offer 65k to 70k + package
