Back End Developer Whenever I speak to prospective candidates and ask them how their job search is going, I always hear the same complaints... adverts, adverts and you guessed it... adverts! Namely, that adverts never describe what the candidate will be doing! So being a fan of breaking the mould, I thought I would strip this advert down to its basics and focus on the Who, the What and the How... WHO THEY ARE: 'They' are a leading Software company providing state of the art bespoke software to a range of customers - those customers span the Financial and Security industries to be exact! They have won numerous awards for their commitment to technical excellence and are going through a sustainable period of growth. This role is primarily due to an influx of greenfield development and they are looking to hire skilled Back End Developers to add value to an already strong foundation. They are located in Canary Wharf (5 minute walk from the tube to be exact) with excellent commuter links and have modern offices and a friendly working environment. WHAT THEY NEED: This part is simple... they need experienced ASP.NET Back End Developers with a 'full stack' skillset and a background developing enterprise-scale applications using the Microsoft technologies stack. The majority of your work will be greenfield so it is important that you have a clear skillset in new development projects, specifically cloud-based application development Web Development (ASP.NET MVC) and core C#/SQL programming. Some Skills required; - Knowledge of agile software development and test-driven development methodologies - Excellent knowledge of .NET 4.5 (C#, ASP.NET and WCF) MVC, Web API 2 , MVC 6, WCF - Proven experience working in integration projects (i.e. middleware, Web APIs) They have a big focus on a 'quality first' approach to software development so it is crucial that you are able to demonstrate an understanding of coding standards and best practice as your role will involve ensuring that all solutions are developed with quality in mind. They also operate a fully Agile development environment with a focus on Scrum and a background in modern development processes. HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT YOU: It will be a challenge. These guys work with some of the largest organisations in the world and this role will give you the chance to work on Enterprise-scale projects using the latest tools and technologies. Moreover, their company culture encourages creativity and this is a genuine opportunity to innovate. On top of that, they offer a highly competitive base salary (between £45,000-£50,000) as well as a 10% non-contributory pension, 30 days holiday and private healthcare. So if you have read through this advert and feel that the 'Who', the 'What' and the 'How' have been successfully answered, then give me a shout to discuss this role in greater detail! I can be contacted on either ************* or ************* Alternatively, send me an email to ***********************. **Please note that this organisation is unable to sponsor visas so all applicants must be fully eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role**. Anything discussed will remain completely confidential.
