My client - a blue chip manufacturer of consumer electronic products in the electronics industry are looking for a Product Compliance Engineer to join their Surrey site to look after their UK market whilst Monitoring regulation in UK & Ireland and communicate to product design via the European environmental and product compliance team (EPC). Client Details My client is a blue chip manufacturer of consumer electronic products in the Electronics industry. Description The successful candidate for the Product Compliance Engineer role at my clients site in Surrey will fulfil the following responsibilities - - Monitor legislative developments in UK and Ireland for the businesses products and regularly inform to EPC about the actual status in order to allow the businesses groups to take timely measures to reach legal compliance of the businesses products to upcoming laws. - Lead the communication and actions with UK market surveillance authorities to avoid any compliance issue with the businesses products in UK market. - Represent the business in related UK national committees to reflect company's goals and achieve results aligned with direction provided by EPC. - Lead the actions and investigation for UK non-compliance to find root cause and take necessary actions to avoid reoccurrence. - Act as window person for take back schemes in UK & Ireland and lead regular tendering process to select the best recycling scheme for the businesses UK arm. Take part in lobbying activities to reflect the businesses strategic interest to upcoming requirements in UK & Ireland. - Manage take back obligations in UK & Ireland to achieve full compliance with minimum cost. Profile To be considered for the Product Compliance Engineer role at my clients Surrey site the candidate must provide evidence of the following - - A proven track record in product compliance matters in the areas of EMC, RE-D, Product Safety, Eco-Design and Take-Back Regulations. - Proven capability of analysing regulatory requirements and concluding necessary actions. - Proven Communication capability with external stakeholders such as standardisation committees, trade associations, authorities, NGOs and customers. - A proven track record of Product Compliance in the Consumer Electronics industry. Job Offer The basic salary for this role is between £40,000 and £50,000 + a very competitive benefits package.
