The Head Of Networks is accountable and responsible for the consistent and effective management of Regional Networks delivering robust, performant, secure and resilient network services across the UK/EMEA and TR regions within the overarching Technology and Governance model of the Corporate Global standards. The role encompasses leadership of the Network Team and third party service suppliers, delivery of innovative strategic projects against the established roadmap, request management and prioritisation, daily operational support and service escalation, capacity and demand management, overseeing capital and operating budgets, maintaining disaster recovery solutions and readiness, ensuring architectural compliance with Corporate Global standards and risk management for the domain. Key Roles and Responsibilities: *Develop and manage robust, performant, secure and resilient networks across the region, in distribution centres, manufacturing plants, offices and retail outlets *Ensure adherence to corporate security standards and manufacturers patch/version levels are maintained *Lead an effective and efficient Network Team, comprising SME's in each discipline (LAN, WAN, UC) *Develop the skills and expertise of the Network Team SME's covering WAN, LAN , Unified Communications and Wi-Fi *Manage the performance of suppliers delivering services to ELC across the region and domain *Work collaboratively with Global colleagues to establish and maintain a standard reference architecture *Work collaboratively with Global and Regional colleagues to develop strategic technical and maintenance road maps *Maintain the Risk Register within the domain, highlighting, controlling and remediating risk *Deliver technical solutions and resources to agreed strategic projects *Ensure effective daily systems management, support and incident escalation is provided both by internal staff and external suppliers *Manage service and development request queues, ensuring transparency, visibility and appropriate levels of prioritization *Develop and own long range capital budget plans/operational budgets and monitor/ forecast costs accurately *Develop predictive monitoring, capacity, availability and performance management solutions and processes *Ensure the development, maintenance and testing of Disaster Recovery plans aligned to requirements agreed in business continuity plans *Ensure effective change and transition of new services in to production environment *Provide technical resource to Problem Analysis and Root Cause Analysis processes. *Develop service improvement plans within domain and systems, products and services *Manage service improvement plans and work with the affiliates and suppliers to ensure that they are delivered. *Ensure operational KPI's are developed, monitored and met *Ensure documentation is maintained for all services within domain and all staff are familiar *Ensure asset inventory of deployed equipment is maintained Essential Skills & Experience High degree of skill and knowledge managing the following technologies (and vendors where possible) - *Network Design, Monitoring and Management *Routing Protocols (CISCO) *Routers /Firewalls (CISCO/ASA/Netgate/Aerohive) *Load Balancer (F5) *WLC, AP, Scanners and Printers *RF Guns *Wide area Networks - MPLS, VPN, P2P Expirience managing out- source service suppliers as well as internal SME's. Expirience managing on-boarding of new service suppliers and implementing new support models Experienced in team transformation and improving engagement Desirable Skills & Experience *Unified Communications (Lync / Avaya) Job Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum Education:RELATED DEGREE Minimum Experience: *Extensive experience in managing Network Services throughout-source suppliers and leading internal Network Teams. *Management experience in multi-platform global enterprise environment *Extensive experience designing and implementing network solutions *Proven track record in developing and sustaining relationships with different customer groups. *Good experience setting and measuring performance criteria, creating and developing reports and analyzing data *Extensive experience delivering innovative solutions and Network management in an international environment. License/Certification/Specific degree required: *CISCO Accreditation to Professional Level in Networking, Network Design and Security (CCDP/CCNP) *ITIL FOUNDATION (Minimum) Skills/Specific experience required: *Experience managing network teams building & maintaining multi-vendor/heterogeneous networks. *Experience in managing outsource service providers and the transition / on boarding of new service providers *A strong background in and an understanding of LAN/WAN technologies including Cisco, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, MPLS, Ethernet, Load Balancers, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, UDP, IP Voice Communications (Avaya, Lync) *A good understanding of ITIL, ITSM and change/incident management processes and procedures *Successful track record in improving processes and procedures *Demonstrable experience of delivering within a flexible environment where priorities can change depending on business needs *Demonstrable experience in managing and developing business relationships internationally working collaboratively with multiple teams to deliver services and solutions *Demonstrable experience in dealing with multiple 3rd parties effectvely coordinating major incident responses globally
