Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be part of a team of tasked with designing, developing and delivering functionality in the core architecture of Front Office Risk Systems. This is a challenging and dynamic role requiring an excellent grasp of the development process as well as good stakeholder-facing skills. Knowledge of at least one area of capital markets and of working in a Front Office environment a plus. You will be a self-starter, accustomed to driving your work forward and coordinating with your peers in other teams as well as working with the developers of the various Front Office systems. - Capture, document and communicate functional and business requirements, liaising with stakeholders in the business and IT. - Work with the development team to deliver functionality through all phases of the project life cycle - from inception and design through to delivery into production and handover to support. - Clarify ambiguous and conflicting requirements with stakeholders and developers. - Translate business requirements clearly into high quality user stories with detailed acceptance criteria and functional documentation. - Be comfortable working in an Agile development environment. - Build effective stakeholder relationships. - Be comfortable dealing with complex concepts and technology at a conceptual level and presenting these to the team and to stakeholders. - Write use cases for existing or new functionality. - Work with colleagues in New York and Eastern Europe as well as in London, and with stakeholders in multiple locations in EMEA, North America and Asia. - Work independently with a need for minimal supervision - using their own initiative to resolve or escalate issues as they meet them. Essentials Skills and Qualifications: 1. Degree or equivalent experience. 2. Significant experience working as a BA in a technical environment, ideally in finance. 3. The ability to take ownership of issues and follow to resolution - ability to organise your own work and be self-motivated is essential as you will be the sole BA on the team. 4. Strong experience working directly with developers as well as excellent stakeholder management skills. You will previously have worked with others outside your immediate team both within IT and in the wider organisation. 5. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. You must be able to take a complex, technical concept and render it in a manner that those outside IT can understand. 6. Confidence in leading meetings and in contributing to them, including with members of other departments such as Front Office. 7.
