Junior Web Developer, Home Based, £16-21k + bens InfoSec People, the IT recruitment experts, are recruiting a Web Developer on behalf of a cyber security start up based in the Southwest. This role would suit someone looking for their first role in industry and can be based from home. Your purpose will be to build and maintain a web application that helps companies manage their information security and risk management processes against multiple industry standards. Working closely with the company owner, you will be using your skills and knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, Python and SQL to build key components of the software, learning along the way. The company are keen to coach and mentor their new recruits and will provide training to help you settle into the role. We do not expect for candidates to have any commercial development experience or formal qualifications, but we are looking for applicants who have a passion for development and an interest in cyber security, too! Although the team is small at the moment the growth plans are aggressive, so this is a chance to get in on the ground floor and be involved in building something from scratch. Duties & Responsibilities - Design and build a web application to help companies manage their information security stance - Development and maintenance of the product - Frequent calls and meetings with the remote team to discuss weekly objectives - Contribute to research and development of additional software functionality - Working hours are flexible around core hours of 9am to 4pm - Work from home Skills & Experience Needed - Good HTML, CSS, Python and PHP skills - Some knowledge or interest in information security, risk management or cyber security - Ability to work under own initiative - Good communication skills and willingness to present new ideas If you would like to find out more and apply for this role then send us over your CV.
