We are currently looking for a Diesel Calibration Testbed Engineer to work for a Major Automotive Organisation based in Warwickshire Reference No: J0011397 Job Title: Diesel Calibration Testbed Engineer Experience: Diesel engine and after treatment technology knowledge Location: Warwickshire Rate: From £25.00 to £27.23 per Hour Ltd Co. Hours: 40 Hours Per Week The Role: *Diesel Calibration Testbed Engineer *A diesel calibration engineer is required to join an established team working on future engine applications and technologies. *The role involves organising testbed based calibration activities including combustion, performance and after treatment testing. *Role will involve set up, running and problem resolution of test equipment *Diesel engine hardware, software and calibration issues. Skills Required: 3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED: 1) Diesel engine and after treatment technology knowledge 2)Technical analysis and problem solving 3)Excellent team working and communication skills Experience Required: *Minimum qualification of a degree (or equivalent) in relevant engineering subject, preferably Mechanical Engineering. *Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in a diesel base engine or calibration team. *Experience in identifying and solving root cause of engine and calibration related problems. *Fundamental understanding of diesel engine and combustion *After treatment operation and control theory required. * The candidate must be able to demonstrate professionalism, diligence and a focus on technical delivery. Experience Preferred: *Experience with testbed operating systems and emissions analysis equipment is advantageous. *Experience of working within a calibration team and applying and improving methods, processes and engineering tools. *Understanding of Design-of-Experiment test methods preferred. *Knowledge of thermodynamics desirable. Additional Information: *Ability and willingness to support testing across the UK and Europe for short periods is required as part of the role.
