Job Title: Commercial Claims Handler Location: North Somerset Job Sector: General Insurance Job Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £26,000 p.a Job Ref: SS/J019388 About the Company: A leading independent commercial insurance broker based in North Somerset with strong relationships within the UK insurance market enabling them to have excellent buying power - resulting in competitive premiums for the customer. With direct access to the Lloyds markets and other specialist Insurers and strong relationships with leading Underwriters, they will ONLY place risks with Insurers who have financial stability and the ability to provide you with a first-class service - particularly in respect of paying claims. About the Role: Working as a Commercial Claims Handler, you will be required to handle a wide variety of claims including commercial property, liability and some personal lines. You will be responsible for delivering a high quality professional advice service to clients regarding any claims issues, liaising with insurers and other interested parties in order to expedite the claims process and effectively manage client's expectations. You will manage claims from receipt of notification of loss right through to conclusion. Specific duties will include; - Process all claim notifications, further advices and collections in accordance with the company procedures - Advise and update clients of all relevant events and discussions during the claims process, ensuring complete customer satisfactions - Update insurers and inform of any additional information acquired during the claims process - Review insurer's queries and resolve wherever possible - Regularly assess the status of claims with clients and/or insurers - Offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the claims process - Effectively manage client's expectation in relation to; timescales, policy and/or legal liability and quantum - Ensure all necessary documentation is requested from client - Ensure that all claims statistics are accurate and produced in a timely fashion Key Skills/Experience Required: In order to be considered for the opportunity of Commercial Claims Handler, you must possess the following; - A wealth of previous commercial claims handling experience (ideally property or farming related) - The ability to communicate effectively at all levels - Articulate and good attention to detail - Strong PC literacy to include; Word and Outlook Salary/Benefits Information: Up to £26,000 p.a Competitive benefits package Footnote If your application is successful we will contact you to discuss the opportunity in more detail, within 48 hours of receiving your application.
