We are currently looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join a large Manufacturing company to coordinate and implement improvements to their software systems. You will be responsible for conducting detailed analysis to formulate new or enhanced solutions to meet the businesses requirements to generate the formal specifications.

This role will be part of a small team in providing development support during the coding phase and formally validate software prior to implementation. Effectively communicating with all Stakeholders from Production Users through to Senior Management.

This role will be office based, although would involve spending time in environmentally controlled areas where appropriate PPE must be worn. The core working hours are Days, with flexibility to occasionally support 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Primarily, based at Hamble, but frequent travel between all the UK sites will be required therefore it is essential to have a car and license!

Duties of the Senior Systems Analyst will include:
  • Review and analyze software change requests, design the system requirements and liaise with internal customers on the requisites of software change control.
  • To co-ordinate and generate software change control protocols and implementation plans with IT and internal customers and to gain approval for such software change control protocols and reports to the relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Raise awareness of where software change control is applicable and participate in training and development of appropriate staff, analyse business requirements and raise awareness of where software systems can be used or enhanced to improve process flows and productivity.
  • Provide support to the global organisation for systems changes and enhancements.
  • Act as a focal point for customer liaison to ensure that required standards of service are provided.
  • Assist in supporting and mentoring the existing Team members in day to day operations.
  • Compile and analyse relevant data regarding the achievement of KPIs to identify underlying trends, implement opportunities to enhance performance and optimise the use of resources.
  • Ensure all software change control documentation is maintained in line with company procedure.
The successful Senior Systems Analyst will have:
  • Be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline/ Ideally from a medical devices or pharmaceutical background.
  • Primarily software systems application knowledge along with engineering, validation and quality experience.
  • Ideally with experience and/or training of ISO/FDA software validations requirements, audits and change control and Ideally with experience of GAMP5.
  • To be flexible, and able to manage multiple projects to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills essential
  • A strong focus on documentation and regulations.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle with an emphasis on Business Analysis, System Design and Software Validation and its principles.

  • Very conversant with the requirements for software in relation to controlled processes (to ISO / FDA standards) for medical device manufacture and supply.
  • A basic understanding of SQL Server, Visual Basic programming languages. Ability to analyse system and date output to determine
  • Able to assess the practical application of software and perform FMEA.
  • Experience of testing in house development or configuring of ERP/MES applications would be advantageous.
  • Strong preference for a Medical device or pharmaceutical background in manufacturing.
