Our client, a Private Bank, is looking to hire an experienced Commercial Banking Manager on a permanent basis, to join their London Branch, located near London Bridge. Key responsibilities: - Ensure as Commercial Banking Manager in achieving the branch's overall objectives by proactive delivery of customer driven service and sales, efficiency of service capability, operational quality and control of costs. - Develop the Branch in working with other group members to protect and expand the existing customer base of overseas (Global) and UK resident customers. - Achieve all the budgetary growth targets allocated for the branch by maintaining quality customer service. - Assist the Head of Retail and Head of Global Banking in promoting the organisations' Marketing Strategy. - Monitor all branch operations in accordance with Procedures Manual, Financial Crime and Anti-Money Laundering regulations. - Ensure the branch complies with the Bank's policy and procedures, legal and regulatory requirements, including adherence to the Banking Code, report any risks where necessary to the Head of Retail. - Manage a portfolio of Commercial Customer which would require engagement in client negotiations, recover ovedues, strengthen collateral position of the bank and prepare and present credit proposals and implement the banks strategies - Ensure account behaviour with no or minimal amount of overdue position - Engage with internal and external auditors in impairment assessment discussions and demonstrate progress in line with the banks strategy - To establish and implement a review mechanism to monitor existing loans and in turn business performance - To complete due diligence, internal risk clearance and committee approvals of the credit note - To undertake projects and assignment from time to time as directed by Supervisor Candidate requirements: - Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience required. Willing to further education in banking. - Recognised expertise in banking sector minimum 5 years. - Knowledge of Turkish financial/business markets - Knowledge and understanding of relevant risk/compliance/audit standards. - Fluent in Turkish. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work effectively under pressure to a high standard. - Ongoing desire to maintain technical and financial know-how.
