My client being a global internet company are currently seeking a Logistics Compliance Coordinator on a temporary assignment up to 23 months. The Role
This position is in the Logistics Compliance team which makes sure physical deliveries happen on schedule and compliantly. You should desirably have experience applying applicable trade compliance rules, regulations, and policies to manage compliant import/export operations around the world - e.g., Americas (U.S. Canada, LATAM), APAC and EMEA. An ability to interact and influence at all levels throughout a large, geographically dispersed company, and strong negotiation skills are also important. As a member of the team, you help manage the logistics and transportation of vendor deliveries. From global deployments of mapping equipment, you need to make sure the right equipment arrives at the right location at the right time. What you oversee is often overseas, and you work with international governmental organizations to ensure imported equipment arrives smoothly. You also work with internal customers to measure and define processes, constantly using data to improve our systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree & 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in a Logistics Compliance/Order Management role managing import/export compliance operations.
2-3 years' experience with customs/export compliance fundamentals.
Experience working in a fast paced business with frequent and rapid priority changes.
2-3 years' experience in IATA Dangerous Goods Practices and if possible working knowledge of IMDG and ADR transportation processes.
Aware of restrictions in shipping Lithium ion batteries in transportation network.

Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of ATA Carnets and local requirements for use.
Strong experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, both domestic and international.
Excellent communication skills - both written and oral, action and results oriented, flexible, hardworking, team player and motivator.
Strong analytical skills, decision making ability and strong project management skills and ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects at the same time.

Provide project management and subject matter support for key business unit(s) with their strategic initiatives.
Work closely with cross-functional team members including Legal and Tax to ensure imports/exports take place in a compliant manner.
Assist global team members to ensure timely clearance instructions are provided to customs brokers and problem shipments are addressed.

Main Duties:
Help process the Move Order Requests (MORs), which are placed from various warehouses across a number of locations.
Review and ensure that all commercial documents in connection with the MORs are in place and compliant with shipping practices.
Creation of Manual Trade documents as needed.
Maintain brokerage performance reports based on performance.
Review commercial invoices generated for order types.
Coordinate and resolve or escalate where required, inbound international shipments stuck at customs.
carry out emerging markets research to determine shipping and compliance regulations in new locations.
Provide location code management within the provided commercial invoice tool used internally.
Manage the process of receiving MORs and Supply Chain Portal (SR+) requests, to confirmation of delivery by carriers.
Manage Order Form entry via internal systems.
Update Order Form status for non-inventory shipments via internal ticketing system.
Work with Project Managers to agree delivery schedules and create plans to support on time delivery.
Work with internal Logistics support teams (Transport/ Trade Compliance) to create awareness of new projects and highlight key actions for both support and customer teams.
Monitor order / ticket backlog to identify potential problem orders and initiate corrective actions.
Produce performance metrics to demonstrate performance to agreed SLA's and KPI's.
Conduct Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA's) and Quality Failure Notification (QFN's) where needed to deal with service failures.
Manage and report Transportation cost and performance reporting as requested by the teams.
Assist Logistics Compliance Manager to develop and maintain transportation programs for different regions
Create and manage transportation bookings through partner's external sites.
Process and manage ATA Carnets globally.
Identify and escalate system related performance issues to the local support team.
