Finance Business Partner
Our client a large business services company based in Cardiff is looking for recruit a Finance Business Partner for its fast growing finance team.

Working as a business partner to all businesses and support functions, providing financial analysis, critical evaluation, challenge and recommendation, guidance, advice and support.
Prepare and/or source management information and carry out regular financial performance and cost reviews for the sales, marketing, IT, Business Change, and all support functions, including monitoring key financial performance indicators and providing relevant commentaries.
Perform financial appraisals of actual or proposed activities for the business and Commercial including business cases, due diligence, incentive schemes, return on investment evaluations, channel profitability and other appraisals as required
Play an active role in identifying, developing and implementing opportunities to improve profit/risk profile within the business (e.g., through increased income or reduced cost, bad debt or tax)
Support the business in preparing forecasts, budgets and other financial plans and scenarios for the business, including:
Running the cost budget process end to end, including the reporting for Cost Management Committee and Board
Analysis of movements in cost base, and relationship with activity metrics
Analysing cost efficiency gains provided by ESP and Procurement
Working with the business to provide other income forecasts
Ensure that appropriate models and processes are in place for analysing profitability at product, channel, customer and branch level
Promote good financial performance management within the Group, and support development of financial skills amongst the management team.
Promote strong financial control within the Group, working with Finance Operations to identify and embed changes to financial control requirements arising out of changes within the business
Work closely with ESP to create tools and analysis to understand/assess impact of process changes
Ensure that appropriate models and processes are in place for setting fees and charges.
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Ability to deliver to tight deadline
Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively at a range of levels up to Executive
Demonstrable numeracy, and analytical skills to a high level coupled with a keen eye for detail
Ability to exercise judgement when analysing and filtering information for Group Executives and Senior Management Degree educated
Possess a good understanding of the performance linkages throughout an organisation and how key sensitivities affect results required
Strive to continuously improve
Deal with ambiguous situations
Strong Excel skills
£40,000 - £50,000 plus benefits
