Java technologies Technical Business Analyst

This a terrific role with a company within financial services who are looking for a technical business analyst who was perhaps a developer in their early days and who has moved into more a technofunctional business analyst role of late ! The client are essentially looking for someone who retains a sound understanding of Java code, technical concepts and technologies but is now a business analyst or a systems anlyst.

The organisation concerned are going through a large applications transformation process so there will be a vast amount of varied project work initially.

The role will involve :

Systems solutions planning

Creating detailed functional specifications and requirement documents

Working collaboratively with all stakeholders and applications architects

Providing in-depth technical consultation to various teams

From time-time managing small workstreams as a project lead to help out a programme manager running a programme

Data analysis on process mapping, process definition, etc

To be considered for the role you will need the following attributes and skills :

Good knowledge of financial or banking systems, preferably payments based

A good knowledge of IT software development project life cycle

Strong documentation and process mapping skills

Good technical knowledge covering understanding of SOA architecture, OO component analysis and development

A good technical understanding of Java, Java technologies and tools and SQL

Strong understanding of various SDLC methodologies

Some team leading skills
