Strive Supply Chain are a leading management recruitment consultancy, specialising in Supply Chain, Production, Planning, Logistics, Transport & Warehouse Operations, please visit our website at www.strive.co.uk or join us on twitter at twitter.com/strivellp for further vacancies and information.

Our client is a leading FMCG company in the UK and we are delighted to assist them in their search for a Graduate IT Developer across both application support and project development, based at their head office in Lancashire (OL10).

If you have an IT Degree in a relevant area and wish for a chance to showcase your talents, learn new languages and play a part in developing the fusion of older and newer technologies, then we would love to hear from you.

My client develops their applications using a variety of languages – vb.NET, IBM RPGLE, SQL, HTML to name but a few and they would expect the applicant to be strong in at least one programming language.

They offer customised, in house training on the latest versions of RPGLE, running on an IBM that will allow you to blend newer GUI application skills with legacy databases. The role is split between Application Support and Project Development aimed at moving the company forwards so that they may further consolidate their place as market leaders in investing in technology in this market sector.

To be considered, your CV should reflect the following:

  • Strong passion for software application development
  • Good knowledge of HTML web design (CSS/HTML/DHTML/Javascript/Ajax etc)
  • Good knowledge of at least one programming language (eg C++ / C# / Visual Basic etc)
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft SQL architecture
  • Be educated to Degree Level in an IT Development related area.
  • Be analytical and detailed in nature
  • Be a strong team player
  • Be willing to commit to long term goals
Apply now for immediate consideration.
