Our client is a leading international charity with Head Offices located in West London. They are currently recruiting for a forward thinking Financial Controller with experience in dealing with Charity Accounts to join them on a contract basis with a view to going permanent.

Duties will include:

*Managing the financial functions of the charity
*Identifying ways in which to improve the charity's finance functions
*Developing and managing a system of internal financial controls
*Ensuring financial risks are minimized
*Reviewing accountancy policies and practices
*Documenting and advising on the application of new policies
*Provide monthly management information for the charity and quarterly for other entities, including variances from budget, year end projections, cashflows and restricted funds analysis
*Plan and manage the charity's tax liabilities under existing and proposed legislation
*Maintain a property and fixed asset register
*Preparation of statutory annual reports
*Liaising with HMRC and the Charity Commission
*Liaising with members regarding payments

Skills and attributes:

*Experience in dealing with Charity Accounts
*Must be fully familiar with SORP (Statement of recommended practice)
*Must be fully qualified
*Proactive and innovative
*Excellent IT skills (Including Sage)
