Ruby Automation Developer required with strong Ruby and backend systems Automation Testing skills including the majority of Cucumber, SitePrism, and Active Record, ideally combined with skills in integration testing messaging / ESB systems ideally IBM IIB, Active MQ, IBM Websphere MQ or similar messaging / ESB systems is required to work on complex backend systems re platforming project by major ecommerce company in West London. The role will also involve coaching and mentoring other test engineers in test automation . Key skills needed as a Ruby Developer in Test include : - Significant experience using Ruby, Cucumber, SitePrism and ActiveRecord - Creating test automation frameworks - Comfortable working on low level workings of a test automation framework - Experience of mentoring and upskilling junior members of the team in automation best practices and concepts - Being able to break down and explain technical concepts of Ruby - Experience of working with Active MQ/IBM Websphere MQ a bonus - Source Control (Git/Stash) - Working within Agile sprint teams - Gherkin experience is an advantage - Building highly available and scalable applications - Continuous Integration tools (including Jenkins) Knowledge and experience of the following is highly desirable: - NoSQL datastores (such as MongoDB or Redis) - Performance analysis - Performance/Load testing - PCI DSS Guidelines and experience implementing them - Configuration Management and Orchestrations Tools (e.g. Puppet) - Messaging Frameworks and Integration Patterns (e.g. ActiveMQ) - Developing within a Service-Oriented Architecture - Continuous Delivery This is a great chance to flex your hands on test skills and soft skills working on high profile systems a large world leading company.
