IQ Financial Markets require an SDLC IT Project Manager who is actively looking for a new contract challenge. This role will ideally suit a person that can combine the elements of best practice global Project Management and SDLC technology based programmes. Based within a new development near to Monument, the City of London, the post holder will be treated to a fast paced, ever changing business environment, surrounded by like-minded technical & business individuals. We require someone who has a good understanding of delivering projects at small to medium budget levels and have a broad technical understanding of both Software Development & IT Infrastructure technologies. This IT Project Manager will be an integral team member, working on cutting edge, business critical programmes. Key responsibilities will be as follows. Producing required budgets, project proposals and plans Work with technical and non- technical senior Insurance stakeholders and steering committee on an ad hoc basis High level facilitation around multiple Insurance workstreams. Agreeing requirements, estimating resource effort/costs and documenting benefits. Manage the project against the agreed plan and keep the project sponsor updated on progress & status Organise meetings, workshops with business stakeholders when appropriate Be pro-actively going into the business to promote the project and keep timescales on track and to budget When possible, be able to support other team members to help achieve the overall team objectives on a wider scale Provide Project guidance to Insurance based programmes around Governance, Risk, issues & dependency management. To secure an interview for this IT Project Manager role we require the following expertise. MUST have recent experience of working within the Insurance Industry. A recent demonstrable role as a Project Manager within either an Agile, MSP or Prince2 environment Ideally Project Management qualified in a recognised methodology Experience of Multi-tasking and being able to handle a range of IT projects at any one time. Excellent stakeholder management techniques around change You must have worked for a global Insurance business and handled projects on this scale. Experience of working with project teams and taking the projects from the architectural stage through to delivery. Must have broad experience of SDLC technology solutions, this person does not have to be overly technical. It will be desirable to have worked on Insurance projects that involve customer portal design but not essential.
