IT Service & Operations Manager- Nr Oxford

IT Service & Operations Manager required for a leading client based in Nr Oxford where you will lead the day to day IT Service Delivery and operations, focusing on consistent delivery, relationships with IT Service consumers, continuous service improvements. You will be responsible for IT Service Management, IT Supplier Management and IT Client Engagement - with direct responsibility for Change Management, Major Incident Management and Problem Management in an ITIL environment.

Responsibilities include,

  • Manage a team of ITIL experts to ensure world class delivery of ITIL based services

to the organization ensuring IT Stability is maintained and improved.

  • Provide leadership and direction for IT Supplier Management to ensure that the team

build strategic relationships with our supplier

  • Ensure the successful management and growth of the IT Client Relationships with

the Media and Technology customers within the remit of this role.

  • Responsible for the prompt escalation of issues affecting the client base
  • Escalation point for IT service delivery concerns from the business and IT

Management

  • Chair Supplier Operation Service Reviews as required i.e Monthly Operational

Service Reviews

  • Manages the IT Service Operations staff including consultation on performance

evaluations, promotions, hiring and disciplinary responsibilities.

  • Solves problems and makes decisions daily relative to IT Service Operations

responsibilities, particularly with relation to High Priority Incident Management

  • Drive Continuous Service Improvement Plans across suppliers

Key Skills

  • Experience in managing ITIL Service Teams including Major Incident, Problem

Management and Change Management

  • A self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritise and plan complex work in a

rapidly-changing environment

  • A strong critical thinker with problem solving aptitude
  • ITIL qualified and experienced of working within a busy IT Service Delivery / IT Ops

Management environment s

  • You have a passion for solving business & IT problems
  • Excellent Stakeholder management skills, can effectively and positively influence

those around you

  • Extensive experience of successfully managing 3rd party Managed Service Providers
  • Innovative and can demonstrate a track record of continually improving services and

processes around them

My client is offering a salary of between £65,000 and £70,000 depending on experience
