My client is a multidisciplinary consultancy in search of an OLE Assistant- Design Engineer to join their rail team in Leeds. This outstanding opportunity will offer you the chance to work on with a company who have delivered high profile, complex and stimulating projects on behalf of Network Rail, Rail Operating Companies and Contractors throughout the UK, providing diverse and technically complicated new schemes including London Bridge Station Regeneration. The role: - Provide technical support into assigned projects under supervision in order to deliver successful technically challenging designs - Assist with the preparation of documentation concerning specific projects and continue developing skills in technical and management areas - Prepare design calculations, drawings and specifications as required in line with company and client requirements - Willingness to grow familiar with relevant Health, Safety and Welfare regulations - Performing other duties and responsibilities as required by your manager The successful candidate will have: - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent - Member of the IET, IRSE or other recognised professional body - A minimum of 2 years' experience in OLE Design within the UK along with other UK rail experience - Flexibility to travel throughout the UK - Ability to work as a team player, possess enthusiasm to tackle challenging tasks - Excellent written and communication skills with proven planning and organisation skills - Proficient in using IT applications including Microsoft Office This role offers a competitive salary along with a range of company benefits and career development.
