I am delighted to be exclusively recruiting for my client in the East Suffolk area, who are looking for a new Accounts Officer as part of their local team. This Suffolk based business has grown over a number of years and continues to evolve and grow, now looking for an Accounts Officer to become an integral part of the business.
Your new role
As the successful applicant to this job, you will be part of a small and cohesive team, taking ownership of both the accounting and general administration duties. You will be happy to get involved wherever necessary and should be comfortable occasionally supporting your colleagues with customer facing duties. Your daily duties will include completing VAT returns, processing sales and purchase invoices, processing payments, processing all financial paperwork and filing, posting year end journals and liaising with company accountants. You will support the Directors on financial and administrative duties as required and will assist with responding to customer queries.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident accounts professional with experience ideally to Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper level. You should be a good team player and must have excellent communication skills. The ideal applicant will have experience using Sage and will be willing to assist wherever needed. Due the location of the role, applicants should drive and have access to their own vehicle.
