Would you like the opportunity to develop your career in Quantity Surveying with North Lanarkshire Council?

Based in Fleming House, Cumbernauld, you will be joining a Service which strives for excellence in service delivery and works well with partners, including our joint venture companies. You will assist the Service Delivery Manager within a multi-disciplinary environment to provide an architectural service and will be responsible for feasibility studies, preparation of contract documentation and monitoring the quality of our varied contracts.

This post represents an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual who has an SVQ3/HNC or equivalent in a design or construction discipline or a relevant apprenticeship that is equivalent to an SVQ3/HNC. You should also have moderate experience in the design and construction industry.

Applicants with extended experience within the design and construction industry may be placed at the NLC9 salary scale and applicants with significant experience and a Degree/SVQ4/HND or equivalent in a design or construction discipline may be placed at the NLC10 salary scale.

With a professional manner and excellent communication skills, you should be IT literate with experience of AutoCAD and Microsoft packages. Knowledge of current design and construction legislation and trends/practices/technologies is desirable.
