Enterprise Architect - Newcastle, £80,000 - £90,000 I'm working with a huge UK business that is in the process of implementing SAP as their new ERP solutions. As a result of this they're currently looking to recruit an Enterprise Architect who will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components. In this position you will be required to interpret, use and apply information contained within the current architecture to inform a range of business activities, particularly those involved in the design of roadmaps leading the creation of various key projects linked to the entire enterprise including all end user applications, support toolsets and management information systems. You will lead decision around where systems will be hosted and how they will maintain appropriate HA/DR solutions and play a key role in influencing any key budget requirements driven through architectural decisions. The core area of focus within this position is to finalize roadmaps for the SAP applications, Retail POS, additional enterprise applications (None SAP), archiving processes, GDPR deliverables, database selection (Oracle vs HANA) and MI toolset selection. Responsibilities will include; - Overall responsibility for designing and resourcing plans for that allow the delivery of: SAP - An SAP applications roadmap, mapped to the clients overall requirements, suitable for the next 5 Years while ensuring a longer term transition plan exists that will map into SAP future technology roadmaps - A plan to migrate to a new SAP HANA production systems during 2018 including appliances and application servers - Alignment of all None production environments to the new virtualised production environment Retail POS - A roadmap that will plan out the technology changes to appropriately modernise the code base of the businesses existing systems. - A design that will define key changes to the clients existing POS systems to meet future trading challenges - A roadmap for all none SAP enterprise applications including end user and IT support tools - HA/DR - Design of appropriate HA/DR processes aligned to business needs and budget availability - Archiving - Design of archiving routines aligned to business requirements that are challenged in line with GDPR restrictions and budget availability MI - The selection of appropriate database technology and an associated plan for delivery - The selection of appropriate end user tools to deliver management information and end user reporting - Decisions on hosting solutions for the enterprise map e.g. On Premise Datacentre, SAS, PAS, public cloud, private cloud - Work with Programme office and wider IT teams to ensure initiatives are planned, resourced and have an appropriate budget - Influence key annual budget amendments Personal Attributes - Strong leadership and people management skills / Good delegator with effective interpersonal and networking skills - Effective communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the business both within IT and the wider business. - Exceptional knowledge of a wide variety of IT systems in both Retail and Supply chain organisation Experience required - 5+ years' experience working within tier 1 ERP environments, most preferably SAP. - Full life cycle SAP implementation experience - Broad knowledge of SAP modules, Supply Chain, Retail, Warehousing etc.. - Previous experience working in FMCG environments, retail, WMS, supply chain or manufacturing beneficial. - Good knowledge of cloud based solutions - beneficial.
