Are you a trained mainstream teacher looking to take a step into Special Educational Needs?

Do you have strong behaviour management skills and are keen in working with students who come from difficult homes and display limited social and emotional awareness and challenging behaviour?

Are you interested in working with smaller sized classrooms of around 4-6 students?

Do you want a job that is both challenging and highly rewarding?

If so then this PRU SEN Teacher role is for you!

For this SEN Teaching post you will be required to teach class sizes of 6-8 and all students that have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education. Generally the students will have very challenging behaviour and you will face different challenges throughout the day. On the other hand this role is very rewarding and can offer progression for somebody looking for a step up in their career. You must have very strong behaviour management skills as all students present varied levels of challenging behaviour.

This is a really good Alternative Provision Centre in the London borough of Wandsworth. You would be working in a KS2 class. This role would bring additional responsibilities in terms of learning and assessment as well as supporting other teachers. Typically, the senior teachers will start on 36k but there is scope for higher salaries for more experienced staff and the right candidate may have a good chance of joining the leadership team. Ideally they would like someone with a primary background and I thought you'd be a good fit.

As a result, they rapidly develop pupils' emotional well-being, willingness to learn, social and life skills, behaviour for learning and academic progress.
