Payroll Software Implementation Manager

A supplier of Digital Accounting Software based in Wilmslow, currently have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Software Implementation Manager to join their busy team.

The Payroll Software Implementation Manager position is a varied role in a cloud payroll software business which has 8 accounting customers, all focused on the temporary labour market.

As the Payroll Software Implementation Manager, you will be involved with client liaison and support as well as assisting the in implementing software at client sites. Longer term, the aim is for the software to become the “software of choice” for those operating payrolls in the gig economy.

The key duties for the Payroll Software Implementation Manager role are as follows: -

Key Responsibilities

  • Principal Responsibilities will be to assist in implementing payroll software on client sites and remote support for clients on an ongoing basis:
  • Forming and maintaining strong relationships with payroll teams at client sites
  • Assisting in technical payroll queries from clients
  • Assisting in setting the software development strategy
  • In due course, as your career progresses, you will be expected to spend time in India with our payroll developers
  • This is a hands on and varied role in a young software business. The individual will have a varied and pivotal role in the business. The role will be demanding and will suit an ambitious, career focused individual who is keen to learn and determined to progress.

Key Skills

  • Be intelligent with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Be qualified (either formally or by experience) in the operation of umbrella payrolls
  • Have a very strong bias towards customer service
  • Have experience of working in a ‘payroll umbrella’, Recruitment Agency or fast-moving environment
  • Be gregarious, engaging and keen to learn
  • Have a very good working knowledge of payroll taxes and national insurance
  • Have a very good working knowledge of payroll protocols in attachment of earnings processes
  • Be able to work very well (and enjoy working) under pressure
  • Have a track record of managing and handling payroll queries on a large scale
  • Be very confident and highly self-motivated
  • Be able to work independently
  • Be capable of operating convincingly at a senior level.
  • Additional characteristics will be: detail orientation; action oriented; excellent communication skills; results focus and a demonstrable appetite for delivering results
  • Be ambitious and keen to develop
