Optima plus are currently representing our client with the recruitment of a area sales devloper. The successful applicant will be working within a regional sales team and be responsible for researching prospective and new clients alike, creating and maintaining a thorough contact database. This role will also be responsible for scheduling client appointments and managing follow-up activities in conjunction with the Sales Development Team. Key Responsibilities: *To research and develop new leads and sales opportunities in your geographical region. *Gather company and contact data, inputting and updating information into a CRM database. *Following up potential business to mature the lead. *Arrange appointments and plan meetings with potential/existing contacts as require. *Update project notes using the CRM system. *Providing technical and sales advice to customers by telephone. *Experience of CRM database systems. *Excellent admin and IT skills (experienced on MS office programmes). *Strong sales negotiation, product cross selling and closing skills. *Confident and strong communicator able to work with colleagues and clients at all levels.
