Source Solutions are seeking a Senior Python Developer to work on a permanent basis for our client, an industry leader in flight data analysis services through their proprietary software and data analysis service offering. Their expert knowledge of flight data, aviation safety, and information technology is delivered to aircraft operators globally making them the largest dedicated provider of flight data analysis services. Their qualified and experienced flight safety specialists deliver the highest ratio of analysts-to-aircraft in the aviation industry. Whilst the role will be mainly based in Whiteley, Hampshire, applicants must be prepared to travel for business, including to other company offices based in the USA and Singapore on occasion. The Senior Python Developer will be responsible for the delivery of software development, mainly in Python and JavaScript languages. Developers are expected to manage and prioritise their own workload and will display demonstrable experience of working in a similar capacity within an Agile environment. Required skills;- - Experienced Python programmer. - Use of Django web framework. - Knowledge of deployment frameworks. - Use of continuous integration frameworks. - JavaScript frameworks such as Angular2 and React. - The ability to create SQL queries. - SQL database administration, in particular PostgreSQL. - Website front-end development, specifically in responsive web design. - Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS - Use of Git or similar version control systems. - An understanding of database structures, processing and task loading. - Agile development methodology.
