As Data Architect reporting to our Principal Data Architect and based at our new, state-of-the-art offices in Hull Docks, you'll provide detailed data architecture definitions, ad hoc data analysis and design support to project teams operating across a wide range of functions. Ensuring that your solutions conform to the overall data strategy, you'll support the work of our Data Governance group, continuously improving standards and quality. Key deliverables include: * identifying and matching data-related capability requirements to marketplace off-the-shelf solutions and technologies * creating models to explain complex relationships between business architecture, applications, data and technology * collaborating on design work both internally and with third parties. You must have a proven track record in database design and data warehousing, including experience of integration middleware, ETL, APIs, and data quality toolsets. Able to identify, define and document detailed data architectures to support project requirements, and ideally with TOGAF certification, you have first-class communication and facilitation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts via modelling techniques. In addition to your extensive knowledge of data capabilities and broad understanding of IT trends and disruptive technologies, you can also: * provide support/guidance to the project teams and govern solution delivery * act as a translator to bridge the gap between business and technical specialisms * establish trusted relationships using a consultative approach * identify and manage change impact and risk.
