A global leading engineering business are currently seeking an Infrastructure Manager to join their growing IT function. This organisation currently has offices based across Europe and Globally and are recognised as a leader within their field. The role of an Infrastructure Manager will be split between hands on and managerial responsibilities, thus providing the opportunity to lead a team whilst also maintaining hands on knowledge and experience of the current and emerging technology landscape, including a WAN across more than 20 sites. Ultimately the role will revolve around support over 400 users in the UK and over 200 across Europe. Key responsibilities will include managing the day to day activities of the Infrastructure team, implementing a culture of continuous improvement around IT Systems and rolling out strategies and initiatives both locally and on a group-wide basis. Travel may be expected from time to time. The successful Infrastructure Manager will have: - In depth knowledge of core Microsoft technologies. - Windows 2008 Server. - TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and DHCP. - Microsoft System Centre Service Management (SCSM) - Citrix Xendesktop technologies - Good understanding of cloud-based technologies. - Practical working experience of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and Cisco network technologies. Desirable: - Experience of Managing teams - Sharepoint Experience - Mobile Technologies - Telecoms Support - VoIP - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) OR Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) This Is a rare and enviable opportunity for an Infrastructure Manager to take the next step in their career, and to develop exceptional skills in a past paced, well cultured environment.
