My Client are a world class HFT company with offices around the world! They are looking for a Platform Reliability Engineer to be the middle man between Infrastructure & Development teams and as such will require very good Python skills. Members of the Platform Reliability Engineering team collaborate with Traders, Quantitative Researchers and Business leaders to advance our technology stack. The team is working in the areas such as Systems Architecture, Predictive analytics, Self-Healing automation frameworks, and Continuous Integration. They take pride in offering an environment that fosters intellectual curiosity with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Manage configuration, performance and 100% uptime of distributed trading platform, which covers - multiple asset classes. - Meticulously curate and create industry and open source technologies to advance our platform - capabilities. - Continually experiment, improvise and translate ideas to automation solutions. - Develop tactical applications for traders and business users. - Build and improve a culture of shared responsibility, transparency, and continuous feedback. - Skillset Requirements: - Ability to orchestrate large-scale distributed systems that support real-time transaction processing. - Solid experience in UNIX/Linux, Networking, Python, and SQL. - Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to drive large and scalable projects. - Good communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams, as applicable to a - dynamic trading environment.BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related. Nice to Have: - Financial industry experience. - Exposure to continuous integration, deployment, and release management frameworks such as - Bamboo or Jenkins. - Exposure to open source frameworks similar to Ansible, Kibana, Kafka, SQLite, Mongo. - Exposure to NoSQL databases. - Exposure to JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular. - Exposure to virtualization and container technologies.
