A Part Qualified Assistant Accountant / Analyst Job in Chesterfield - 3 month FTC to go perm, paying £26,000

You will join a small specialist team within a large national company you will have the opportunity to prove yourself with the role to be recruited on a permanent basis in 3 months' time. Your new role
You position as Assistant Accountant / Finance Analyst will be to support the Accounts Manager for 2 major functions within the business. You will be expected to complete all month end duties including accruals, prepayments and journals as well as more analytical responsibilities such as:
- Producing financial and management reports,
- Forecasting and planning
- GNIR reviews
- Authorise purchase orders through SAP
- Create and develop Business Intelligence (BI) reports through SAP
- Income and Cost analysis for your area of specialism.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will be ideally working towards qualification of CIMA or ACCA, however stopped studiers will also be considered who have relevant, recent experience. You should be commercially minded, driven to succeed, have thorough experience of SAP and Microsoft Excel, and ideally have experience with BI and LEAN processing. Furthermore you should also possess the skills to summarise data into usable information to make effective recommendations on through your analysis.
What you'll get in return
In return for a 37.5 hour working week you will receive a salary of around £26,000 per annum. This is pro-rata'd on a 3 month Fixed Term Contract basis. Dependent on capability, aptitude and success in this role during this time, there is the possibility the role may become permanent. If the role does become permanent there is study support available towards your chosen qualification. Furthermore the 37.5 hour working week is subject to flexi-time, meaning you can start your working day at any time between 7am and 10am to suit your work-life balance.
