THE ROLE Software Engineers & Data Technologists are the beating heart of this organisation. You'll work as part of a close-knit, super talented family of tribes, using your technical mettle to offer your customers the best possible user experience. You'll be delivering to tens of millions of users across the globe, every day, which means you'll have the creative freedom to showcase your own ideas on greenfield projects whilst being offered exposure to a wide variety of technologies & technical challenges. One of the key functions of your role will be to build and enhance large-scale real-time data pipelines, processes and data management flows to maximise the value you can deliver to your customers. However, you'll be joining a business which aims involve you in the activities which genuinely interest you and which will stretch you technically, so expect to be getting involved in projects including; Big Data analysis systems, Real Time Streaming Data, building APIs and micro-services used by the rest of the engineering. You'll also get the chance to join full stack feature teams or teams building other tools and services to delight your customers! THE TECH STACK The ideal candidates will have previous experience working as a Data or Software Engineer, ideally within an internet economy business or in highly scalable environments (e.g. messaging or streaming). You'll also likely have strong experience of the following; *Java, Python, .NET, C#, Docker, Elastic Search, AWS (or similar) NoSQL (We don't expect you to be an expert in all of these technologies but would like to see experience with some combined with a curiosity for others.) *Metrics driven approach to decision making, prioritisation and continuous deployment *Use of agile/lean methodologies for continuous delivery and improvement *You make others better proactively through code reviews, documentation, technical guidance and mentoring *You will work with or lead within your team to break down solutions into small tasks to be completed autonomously *Experience of large scale systems deployed to AWS WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU Say goodbye to clocking in and out and hello to genuine work-life balance!
