Our client is a global mid-tier bank undergoing impressive growth at present. They partake in wholesale and ib activities in the UK but have sizeable retail bank operations globally.

This role will be reporting directly into the Regulatory Reporting Manager and will suit someone ready for an AVP equivalent level; with strong corep/basel iii/crd iv knowledge.

Description

Assistant Manager, Regulatory Reporting

      • Prepare Large Exposures COREP templates for submission to the PRA/EBA
      • Provide Large Exposure MIS for the EXCO and Risk Committee, including exposure amounts summarised by trading and non-trading book and PRA limit utilisation
      • Owner of Large Exposure policy
      • Prepare all Bank of England and FCA/PRA statistical and supervisory returns
      • Prepare Operational Risk COREP template for submission to the PRA/EBA
      • Prepare Securitisation COREP templates for submission to the PRA/EBA
      • Provide support for the committee by analysing the regulatory impact of new business proposals. This includes assessing the impact on Capital Usage and Large Exposures
      • Responsible for reviewing all statistical notices received from the Bank of England and providing written evaluation to Senior Management on the impact of the changes
      • The incumbent will be the principal subject matter expert for movement queries received from the Bank of England
      • Provide cover for the daily Large Exposure and Capital routines
      • Provide cover for the production of the weekly FSA047/48 FCA regulatory return and the reconciliation process
      • Provide cover for the reporting function as required
      • Help with the implementation and maintenance of the Summix regulatory reporting software including helping with UAT testing and investigating discrepancies
      • Assist with user acceptance testing of regulatory reporting software upgrades
      • Ensure all communications are succinct and clear for recipients
      • Assist with implementation of efficient processes towards continuous improvement of processes & reporting
      • Ensure that all procedures developed by the team adhere to the bank's End User Computing guidelines
      • Submit around 200 regulatory templates per annum
      • Any failures or deficiencies in fulfilling these responsibilities could lead to severe regulatory penalties together with extensive operational and reputational risk
      • Interact with other business units and departments (MIS, accounting, Taxation, Business Control, Risk Management, Front Office)

      Profile

      Assistant Manager, Regulatory Reporting

        • Will have a strong exposure and in-depth technical experience in regulatory reporting working in an investment banking environment
        • Good working knowledge of BIPRU and Bank of England rules
        • Knowledge of the regulatory reporting package Summix would be preferential
        • Skilled in written and verbal communication
